The NivoGuide® NG 3100 guided wave radar sensor stands as a versatile, robust solution for continuous level measurement in a broad range of industrial contexts, from dusty grain silos to chemical reactors with foam. By transmitting radar pulses along a rod or cable probe and interpreting reflections, the device provides:
High Accuracy
Supporting precise inventory management or fill-limit optimization.
Dust/Foam Resilience
The guided wave approach is less susceptible to free-space interference or moderate foam disruption.
Minimal Recalibration
Once the probe length and basic dielectric data are set, changes in product moisture or temperature typically don’t require extensive recalibration.
Mechanical Ruggedness
With no moving parts in the measuring zone, the sensor endures dusty, mild abrasive conditions well, relying only on occasional cleaning if heavy build-up forms on the probe.
Integration via 4–20 mA with or without HART, or other digital fieldbuses, ensures the sensor’s continuous level data can drive advanced automation, alarm, or inventory strategies.
